Hi, I am pretty new to posting threads, please excuse if this is in the wrong place...

My Stilo JTD Sporting (150bhp)56 plate has developed another fault. It seems to be that since hitting 100k it is a monthly occurence now with something going wrong :(

PROBLEM: I was changing down last night when the clutch pedal hit the floor and is now non effective, I can pull it back up manually but there is no resistance at all when it is pushed down. There apprears to be no leaks and the brakes are all still fine.

For the last few months I have had an annoying rear left wheel squeal which dissappears when breaks are applied but then gradually comes back - could this have been a sign of something going wrong with the clutch/break system and now something has given up?

Anyway, if anyone has had similar problems and possibly send me in the right direction to fixing the problem I will be most grateful.

Thanks
Darren

The clutch is a strange one... check all around the g/box for leaks I suspect a slave cylinder or pipework has gone...

The squeeling is a partially seized caliper. the best price I found was from a company called J&R based in Birmingham (google it) they ship parts very quickly too. all the calipers are the same with the exception of the 2.4 iirc.

Hope this helps
