Only a few days left to get the rear bushes sorted on
my stilo as it failed the MOT on them both.

At least the repair in the cat was ok as the only
type 1 available is from Fiat at £1500. The flange
connecting to the flexible pipe sheared so it's been
welded in three big welds, it doesn't need to be
a continuous weld.

John

A Big thanks to Shadyman (Stuart) for delivering the special tool
required to replace the rear bushes on his travels.

Thanks Stuart

1.8 twin cat similar to the Punto HGT Type Approved which
sell for around £160.

The twin cat for the 1.8 is in the process of going through the
approval system but could take a further 24 months as there is
little demand for them.

You can't get one made up and anyone who fits or supplies a non
Type Approved item could be fined £5k even though the car could
still pass the emissions with the older non type approved cat.

Cheers John

hey just joined this most excelent site, just purchased a 03 plate stilo 1.2 active aircon. bought it with gearbox problem so have changed it and now is on 3rd box......yeah... and also is knocking like a medievil back door on rear bushes. anychance of a pic of this spech tool? im bringing this stilo back, runs like a dream atm apart from its suppin fuel abit i think due to oxygen sensors or other suspects, will find out. when i keep foot level car pulls nice then backs off then pulls again after a second or two. someone has nabbed the cd changer which took me ages to find, but nice secret compartment. i work for a car dealership and it still looks dazzling next to 62 plate cars. any advice on these motors would be superb
