I currently have mobil 1 0w40 turbo diesel long life its great oil but costly at around £45 for 5l.

I was wandering if there are any good cheaper alternatives. Im in northern ireland tho so the delivery charges always get me.

re read title- its not top quality but is cheapish and fully synthetic
Asda had 5l of 5w30 and 5w40 fully synthetic for £20 and 2l for£10 not long ago , I was after cheap oil during turbo change so used some of this, ran some to flush and some more with another new filter. Seems ok so far done 1000 miles on it, I wasn't planning on keeping it in for long as I have some Mobil 1 waiting but it's still too clean to drop yet( it might last my 5000 miles)
heres pic of bottle back

A4 Reserved for future use in certain direct injection engines
A5 Combines A1 fuel economy with A3 performance

B1 Fuel economy diesel
B2 Standard performance level (now obsolete)
B3 High performance and/or extended drain
B4 For direct injection car diesel engines
B5 Combines B1 fuel economy with B3/B4 performance

C1-04 Petrol and Light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 low SAPS, two way catalyst compatible.
C2-04 Petrol and light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 mid SAPS, two way catalyst compatible.
C3-04 Petrol and light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 mid SAPS, two way catalyst compatible, Higher performance levels due to higher HTHS.

fiat manual states b4 spec 5w40 meets fiat 9.55535-m2
looks like the the asda 5w30 is acea c3

i dont think i will worry too much with mine as im decatted and low drain interval, then back to mobil 0w40
watch on opie oils i tend to wait for nice offers or free delivery.
