I've done a search and can find parts of my issue but not the whole problem I have.if ive missed it

I have an issue my boot wont unlock when unlocking my car I have checked all the settings in menu and tried with and with out but no joy, the boot open button on my key doesn't to anything but while I am in the car I do hear what sounds like a relay opperating from the front end. I could live with this if I could use my key to open the boot but no just there I can barely get my key a third of the way into the lock I have tried WD40 on and the lock and no improvement there is there any way I can open my boot from the inside I will be purchasing a new solenoid from the posts I have checked this seems to be the issue and not to bad to change once I can get this open.

I did drop the rear seats and crawl though but couldnt seem to get the trim off after removing the 2 retaining bolts inside the handles (is there a knack to removing this?) so I couldnt inspect the lock from the inside.

when you remove the 2 allen key screw just pull it. i always pull from the top as i can just get my finger behind it and touching the glass. a few of the clips might brake but its not a big deal as a pack of new ones only cost like £2.00 from a local spears world shop.

I have exactly the same problem benc and haven't managed to open it yet. I hear the relay operating same as you but boot doesn't budge, and the lock itself is jammed. If you have the 5-door there is an emergency release catch accessible from in the boot.

I also tried and failed to get the trim off. I'm currently planning on waiting until it gets serviced to get someone to fix it, unless someone has a bright idea on here!
