Technical New Front Springs Needed

My apologies for the late reply, things have been hectic.

Stilonutter I have just fitted a pair of lesjofors springs on the front after OS snapped, same struts as they are ok, it handles fine for an estate and does what I want it to. If I wanted better handling I would change the car but each to their own. Good luck

I think you've misunderstood what I was asking. I'm not looking for a "sportier" ride, I love how mine handled with the Kilen springs that have just snapped and as Lesjofors and Kilen are the same company I know I would be happy with the ride of either of them.

The problem is since they are from the same maker, can I trust either Kilen or Lesjofors not to snap again after only 2 years like my old set? 2 years for the life of a spring is rather pathetic.

Stilonutter: I had fitted on my old stilo 1.2 kilen springs. I found they made the car sit slightly lower at the front but never experienced any handling problems . They had done 70kmiles from fitting by the time I sold the car. Do you have particularly bad roads or speed bumps in your area?

Mine had done about a tenth of the mileage that yours covered. Perhaps Kilen don't make loads of different springs for each engine size, mw, 3dr & 5dr and whether it has AC or not like Fiat do. Although I did get Kilens springs for the 1.9jtd MW, so they should've been correct.

Nope, I have pretty good roads around here and I don't like jolts from rough rides so when I am on a rough road, I slow it right down or drive around the potholes.

stilonutter no prob i was expressing an opinion thats all,ive had cars that do better handling anyway, a few weeks in and cars settled down still bloody low imo but it works as for your spring dilema thats up to you. i could have had a slightly thicker spring but i couldnt wait for those

i kinda wish id opted for the eibach pro's would be nice to get rid of some of the body roll. Had no money back then though.
