Hi,

I own a jtd MW and the heater has lost the plot.
When i select for the heat to blow on my feet it errrrr doesnt.
I have tried doing the reset thing (holding man/auto buttons down etc)
And it didnt make any difference.
Just wondered if anyone had any ideas.
Also there is plenty of air movement when it is blowing on the screen etc so dont think the pollen filter is an issue.

Any ideas anyone

Kind regards,

I havnt done anythign liek that on a stilo but on most cars the turning nobs are attatched to a wire and sometimes the wire comes out, you have to take it apard and pop it in or see if anything has jjumped off there runners

Hello My MW heater stopped sending air to the screen. I found the electronic flap-drive modules at the left hand side of the heater assembly. If you remove the glove-box they are reasonably accessible (LOL). The top one (screen) was operating but not moving the flap. When I removed it found that the drive "sprocket" had sheared. For several months I drove around with a blob of blue-tack holding the flap drive gear about half-way open - worked fine.
Eventually I repaired the drive sprocket thing by re-joining it with a small nut and bolt down the centre and lots of superglue. The flap modules are located fairly logically; furthest forward one - re-circulation, top - screen, mid - dash vents, lower foot wells. There is a module at RHS for the foot well there. Temperature control is a bit of a mystery though, seems to be a combination of the lower two. You can check what is going on by watching/groping the modules and operating the controls.
I never bothered pricing a module but I suspect that they are available more cheaply from VW dealer than Fiat (saw one on Ebay).

Kind regards, Leo
