hi there
can anyone help me please?
stilo 1.9jtd 115 52 reg
internal clutch slave cylinder.
what is the procedure for bleeding this as the guides on here show an external slave cylinder.
ive had the engine and box out for a rebuild and im just about back in and running again, had to disconnect the fluid pipe to remove the box and now it needs bled.
regards

I would use an Eezibleed kit as it makes the job very easy.

Just apply a small positive air pressure to the master cylinder thru the eezibleed kit

and then bleed out from the slave cylinder bleed nipple

If your bleed nipple does not work properly anymore, do you replace the clutch's slave cylinder or is it just a cable?

The Stilo JTD clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple is just an open plastic nipple moulded into the end of the hydraulic hose. There's nothing on it not to work.

None of the Stilo JTD engines are fitted with cable operated clutches.

To bleed the system, you have to first lift the metal clip to its first position (mid way between "on" and "off" then pull the hose part way out (you will feel a notch).

That opens the nipple so you just have to pump the pedal a few times to get the air out. Hold the pedal down (or use a non-return tube) while someone presses the hose back home and locks it in with the clip.

The plastic nozzle that the pipe is attached to is part of the Concentric Slave cylinder.

The flexible hose to the Concentric Slave Cylinder is just called "pipe".. :D

The part number is 46833133 but if you just need a new clip I'd hunt around the breakers. A new one is probably the wrong side of £60.

It connects to a rigid/metal pipe from the master cylinder, just behind the suspension damper (if you were looking at it from inside the wheel arch, with the liner removed).

So I have been looking now for a guide of how to replace the "pipe" haha. But to no luck, can anyone point me in the right direction of how to go about to replace my newly bought flexible hose pipe that connects to the concentric slave cylinder? Many thanks :)

The easy way to describe it is;

1) Pull the clip all the way out and off.
2) Pull the hose all the way out and off the CSC.
3) Unscrew the other end from the metal pipe.
4) Screw on new hose.
5) Refit push-fit end onto CSC.
6) Refit clip.
7) Carry out Bleeding procedure (clip and pipe to their halfway "notch".. pump the clutch pedal).

Obviously this will entail a lot of fluid being spilt.

If you have a brake pipe clamp, first attach it to the rubber hose that connects the master cylinder to the metal pipe, taking care not to cut it. Use a cloth, or even a piece of card, folded over the rubber hose to protect it.

Disconnect the bottom (at the CSC) and let the fluid run out into a container.
Unscrew the hose from the metal pipe (you will need to remove the wheel arch liner first).
Again catch any fluid still coming out.

Replace the hose.. remove the brake pipe clamp.. and re-bleed.

It's not toooo tricky.
