Technical Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

Technical Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

Yes, havent tested it but others have and say it works.. emulates the seat being empty.. There are other solutions such as reprogramming the 68HC and other stuff, prob easier just to get a new mat or a full emulator.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Should I cut I foil or solder resistor paralell with foil?

cut the foil. if you leave it ther it will have the same rezistance as the rezistors...

and some other pictures with 2 ocs's repaired.

Hello I`m new here and I am not sure:bang:, Is this schematics you made for occupation passenger seat? I want to make this only if passenger air bag is always on! Thanks

hi there i just done this mod to the airbag it worked great for one day but now has stopped working again i checked my resistances they are a little low but within 3% do they need to be deadly accurate or can i even go a little higher? if anyone knows how the system works your help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I made this simulator before one month. It worked perfectly till yesterday. Yesterday I got message ''Airbag failure'' two times. Today it works fine again. I dont know is that because of tollerance of resistor.

check the whires under both driver and passenger seat.

It's not a problem. I connected fiatecuscan and it said that ECU gets incorrect signals from passenger seat sensor. When I unplug conector under the passenger seat, fiatecuscan said that somewhere is open circuit, and I assume that connector is not a problem.
Last owner had some version of simulator and he said that it was working some period and stoped.
Maybe ECU is too smart and it can recognize that we would like befool them.

I have just acquired a 3dr JTD with the dreaded 'red light' and have checked out all 5 connectors without success. I am now going to try the OCS resistor mod. but am unsure as to the where-abouts of the small PCB that the resistors should be soldered to! Am I correct in thinking that it is in the seat squab and if so is there a definitive guide on how to disassemble somewhere? I have searched in vain for answers to both these questions but probably used the wrong verbage in the search engine although I seem to have tried everything.

I would be pleased to be be proven wrong by getting directions to the answers!

hi mate the pcb is connected to the seat pressure sensor under the seat cover it is covered in a rubber compound take care when removing it!!

Hi

How do i make this device? please see from the link below, i have the resistor and diode just wondered what goes where?

Worked like a charm! Used the old resin to isolate it whit hot air.
Had the error 32 fixed/unknown
Used ¼ watt resistor's, mostly 4k7 and 8x 20k (series of two=40kohm).

Many thanks to all you.
