General Cruise control not working

General Cruise control not working

I must have a problem with my pc cos when I try a search it just goes back to the stilo's main forum.:bang::bang:
So I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or give me a clue as to what it may be. The symptons are it wont turn on and has no light in the dash to say its on, which suggests to me that there is no power getting to it. This is why I checked the fuse but as I said the fuses are fine. Its very cunfusing but I was hoping someone had come across this before.:(:(

if ECU doesn't see brake switch signal it wont turn cruise control on,very common prolblem (as already suggested)

Cheers dude(y)(y) I'l try and check it out over the weekend. I see where your coming from now. I suppose its a bit of a default safety thing.
Are they easy enough to fit?

I've just done mine by resetting rather than replacing the switch.

Its not a big job.

How did you reset it?

Sometimes, the brake switch can be over depressed as it works on a ratchet eg. by pulling the brake pedal up with your foot. This means that the normal brake pedal position may not actuate the switch when it should.

It's reset by pressing the brake pedal down and pulling/extending the white plunger of the brake switch out of it's switch housing. Now I don't mean remove the plunger, as that would be bad... just extend it a bit. This means that when the pedal is released to it's normal position, the pedal will depress the plunger correctly.

Hope that helps.
