Whilst looking out of the window at work today, something struck me.

In the rear of the Stilo 3doors back bumper, there is strips across the rear that era 'indented' to the main bumper. There is one long one across the middle, and two at each side.

Has anyone ever tried to put twin exhausts in these areas, if they are removable and easy to do

would it be to high, or would you be at risk of melting the plastic.

Just an idea, im not planning on doing it lol (especially with a smokey diesel) :p

(Where they would go is marked in red on the picture)

I think they'd look pretty smart. I'm not a particular fan of cars that don't have cut outs for the exhaust. It just looks like they been stuck on and haven't been designed with the car. An oval exhaust on each side would look decent.

is that an abarth badge I see!!!!!.. tut tut... keep it as a jtd!!!

tbh.. partially guilty myself but spayed the emblem matt black.. so just a crest really:):)

EDIT just realised that is an abarth.. colour coded bump strip... ie not your motor!!

good idea.

i've often also thought the front fogs were a missed oppourtunity, especially on the 3 door - imagine them in the recesses in the bumper under each headlight......

they would look quite nice.

but i like the fact that every stilo still has fogs just built into the headlights, whereas you get some cars and the bottom of the range versions/non sporty versions dont (y):D

however, the only problems with some foglights being low is stone chips :p

sort of like that chris, would imagine them filling the void entirely - almost as big as the headlights....

can you imagine how bright they would be :D

but how much would it be to replace if you were to get a stone chip

quite a good idea though :p

i like the stilo's wing mirrors as well, as they are small but you can see enough out of them. they are a good shape so that the wind passes over them without to much noise. ive been in a new astra at motorway speeds and they are nosier (even my mum and dads s-class has whistly wing mirrors) :D

Correct me if i´m wrong, but, the exhaust couldn´t go there because it would have to be twisted at the end to be at that hight.

Propably for sale soon, but I guess the steering wheel will be on the wrong side for most of you guys. A Stilo will most likely never be as fun as the Ritmo Abarth 130TC - with only 8 vents.

Anyway. Huge foglights to make sure you nail the person coming towards you.

Lovely old school fiat and worthy of calling the abarth morty ..and if I were you the stilo would be sold and the rimto kept :worship:

i lookd into this briefly, your backbox is quite low and it would take quite a bit of twisting of the end section of your pipe to get it to come out of that whole requiring a custom exhaust, its a moulded part so needs cut off and carefully done. i was gona cut the three away , put the exhaust out the left one, mesh the middle and put a fake tip at the other side. bt time and money are scarce, lol

Im not really planning on doing it , just wanted to think what people would think of it, or see if anyone had done it (y)

would be to much of hard job to do, and with my car being a diesel, it would be to smokey :D
