I want to say a huge THANK YOU to lou lou for the instructions of how to reinitialise my roof. I realise how roof, boot and heated rear window are connected, although the local Fiat dealer preferred to try and charge me £986 for a new switch. This is something so simple but so vital to cabriolet owners. If there has been a break in any electrical connections, it's not just the radio that needs resetting. I suggested that the dealership implored some joined up thinking but the person I spoke to didn't seem to make the connection!!!! If you see wot I mean

Hello , and welcome to FF,

I suspect this belongs in the 500 section,
but I cannot find a roof related post by Lou Lou:confused:

Sorry if I'm in the wrong section, I'm new to this and found it all a bit confusing. Try looking under "why won't my boot open on my fiat 500 cabriolet" Also I don't think it was capital L and I don't know if there is a space between the two. I promise it's there cos I followed the instructions posted and was able to re initialise my roof.

Hi Charlie,
You will see from the email that I sent you that the info was posted by loulou on 25 April 2011. It would be good if you could acknowledge this on the forum so imdont look like a complete numpty. The advice WAS excellent and it worked.
