Why do little shits always want to break into my car its nothin special, i leave nothin in view so why do they persist in smashing my car up. The second time they broke in and stole all my air freshners!!!
Whats the best alarm i can get for the lowest price, and when its activated will it look all the doors and drive them to the nearest police station!!!
Any help apprieciated

You can try www.direct-car-alarms.co.uk/ they supply only.
They do toad alarms which I am led to believe are one of the best.
Do not forget you get what you pay for.
But some b@%sted will just break into car for the fun of it.
I know of three cars with toads with anti-grab, pager and voice warning etc but they may not be suitable for fiats, give them a call you got nothing to lose!

good luck

Cheers, i've heard of these alarms that page u or send a text message if your car is getting broken, they seem a good idea but just imagine if you did get one of these messages what would u do:p:p:p

What would I do?

Tell them what naughty boys they are ... before breaking their f**king necks with my krooklok [:(!]

Sorry but sometimes violence is the only thing these little b*st*rds know. And me a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator too.

I've had my Panda broken into over 9 times in the 13 years I've had her. The last time (in 2000) they took my tape collection (which was returned by a neighbour) all except a Carole King tape which was smashed.

Hey Gaz, sorry to hear about your problems.
Give these guys a call, they fitted my Toad Ai606 Cat 1 alarm.
A-2-B Factory Direct, 07957 337 317
They'll come and fit it at your home or work, and i paid £250. for mine.
Never had any problems with it.

Cheers everyone, I havent got a car to put one on at the moment, but if my gets fixed or I get a new one, the first thing I will do is put in an alarm.

I've seen a company that sells and fits them local to me so I think I will try them cause all I want the thing to do is go wo wo, and not need six buttons to press to turn it on.

Does £125 sound about right, and it got an optional immobiliser

£125 sounds pretty good, but it depends on what features it has. Does it alarm the bonnet, doors, boot, all of the above? Does it have motion sensors inside the cabin? Will it work with the central locking?
Is it £125 fitted?
If thats a fitted price, ask if the installer is VSIB accredited. If the alarm has any sort of thatcham rating you can get a discount on your insurance if it's professionally installed ny a VSIB installer.

Not so non-existent ;)

I know what you mean though. If you live in a high risk area, there's not much you can do but follow the advice given in the other thread and cross your fingers.

Someone tried to steel my Scooter last year. [:(!] Luckily they were disturbed by a neighbour's dog and he recovered the bike. (The neighbour, not the dog :) )

I was a little silly actually. The bike was unlocked. :I I had unlocked it to go to work, but then changed my mind at the last minute and decided to use my car (old S3 Land Rover) as it hadn't been run for a while. I didn't re-lock the bike. I then got a call at work from the Police.

By all accounts it was two 14-ish yr old little s**ts. They ran off into a waiting car and sped off. The neighbour, quite rightly so, didn't chase them. You never know what these people will do - they could pull a knife or even gun [:0]

Moral of this story - Always lock your vehicle, even if you're only leaving it for a minute.

ok, not flash kit but I got my alarm system at my local halfords for £65.
sparkrite, self install, has interior sensors & unit, flashes indicators & makes a lotta noise !
It also connects to c/locking etc.
not a bad package for the price basic but definately functional.

regards.....cj

Some bastards broke into my Uno for 7 norwegian crowns which was visible. They were my parking-nickles. 7 crowns is like 1 USD or 0.6 GBP. They weren't any good in lockpicking, so the cylinder broke. Then they had to break the window. For 7 crowns.

I'm now off to buy an alarm. Moral: Maybe if it wasn't locked I wouldn't have to fit a new window and clean the car for glass. Anyway - it is easier on the front doors, than on the passenger doors.

Right, i have had clifford concept 300 on my mk2 punto sporting, and had nothing but problems with it from day 1, false alarms 8 times aday, the boot sensor didn't work (when the alarm was on i could open the boot and it wouldn't go off) the doors didn't lock on startup, it was a shambles off an alarm, so i had it ripped out and a toad AI606 fitted, i have nothing but praise for this alarm. no more false alarms the doors lock on start up and unlock when the ignition is turned off, the alarm goes off when the boot is opened and it cost £150 less than my clifford, and has all the same options and upgrades as the clifford but are cheaper.... I would never buy a clifford again!!!!!!!!!!!

The devil made me do it officer

robin i think the problem is more likly to be with the instalation rather than the alarm as cliffords have won quite a few awards and have to be upto strict standards to be thatcham approved

Clifford are the best they have approval from God, definetley the installer at fault

My Car is now for sale, A total one-off, head turning bargin!!!

Well i had it fitted by Gap, the brain went weird the day it was fitted, they replaced it and it never worked properly, i hassled GAP but they wanted to Charge me £125 to come and look at it , 2 days out of warranty so i said what is it likely to cost me to get it sorted, they said anywhere between £200 and £400, i just felt like i was being ripped off!!!!!! no other place would look at it, becuse they said it was best the people who fitted it sort the problem, i had a bad time with my clifford, my friend had the exact same alarm fitted by a local place and he has had a lot of probs too (false alarms, it not locking, genreally not working properly) When it was fitted by GAP the installer said he would not recommend a clifford to anyone, he had a toad on his car too, i wish i had listened to him!!!!

The devil made me do it officer

Some kid opened my car door whilst i was in the petrol station and robbed my huge bag of m&m's off my seat and ran off with em the theiving little c**t!!![:(!]
ANYTHING BUT THE M&M'S!!!! lol

No harm done though thankfully. Could have been worse, he could have seen the Malteasers in the door pocket;) There is some sad cases out. Nothing better to do that make a repuatation of the car sweetie baron!

you left your car unlocked while you went to pay??

if so maybe it was the wakeup call u needed

u do realise if your car had been stolen your insurance company would have refused to pay out as you failed to take resonable precautions to protect your vehicle

If someone wanted your car, you'd never make it past the 20+ people standing behind you in the queue to pay and out the one way door system before he drove off (or ran off with your keys!!)
