Hi All.
We have two Scudo vans and they are used intensively on stop start sandwich van work. This entails in and out of the cab every five minutes.
The drivers seats on both have, as a result, completely disintegrated on the door side exposing the metal frame. I enquired about new seat covers but it would be cheaper to buy a new van!
Does anyone know if an alternative seat can be made to fit which might be more durable? I cannot even find a secondhand item that is in half decent condition from breakers. It seems they all suffer the same problem. Alternatively, has anyone had a successful repair or modification that might last a few years?

What year is your van mate as ebay is awash with seats. I know as i keep looking for a cheap single front passenger one. If you are not bothered about cover design/colour then dont stop at the Fiat Scudo search as the Peugeot Expert and Citroen Dispatch are the exact same.

If i cant get a seat for before i use my van for a trip round Europe then i will be looking at something like a ford transit seat. All i need is to make sure when drilling new holes is i use load spreading plated on the underside when bolting in and the seat belt anchor point is intact. Good thing about transit seats is there ate 1000's in scrap yards so seats are cheaper. Lots are height adjustable also

It's a 2006 model and I have had a permanent search on eBay for a year now. The only ones that come up all show the start of the same damage so no point in acquiring them as won't last five minutes with our duty cycle.
I have been in contact with these guys though, who can offer an alternative at what seems a reasonable price, with suspension Base, headrest, armrest and all the bells and whistles.
