find out where its leaking from go on ebay they sell different types of exhaust sleeves and stuff for leaking exhausts or go to a motoring shop like halfords
Ditto r masters' reply. Find out where the leak is, it's not going to get better. Don't worry about it as you have got your MOT. I have run a 2.0 JTD with a very big leak in the exhaust - just in front of the cat.!
If it's an "advisory" and a leak, it's probably on one of the rear two sections. They are very easy to replace, there's a thread about it somewhere....
If it is a small hole you can buy exhaust putty. but i would not recommend this as it shrinks and leaks again soon after using it. but as an old MOT inspector, i can recommend this.
Get whats called liquid metal. Its in a tube just like toothpaste clean up the exhaust around the hole with a drill brush. But do not breath in the dust that will come off (This would be bad) and put a lot of it spread out onto silver paper that has been doubled up and wrap it round the exhaust maybe tie it on and leave for 24 hrs. As long as you do this successfully its a permanent fix and cannot fail the test. The tester is very limited with the VOSA laws on exhausts and as long as the fumes exit the rear area of the exhaust and its not adapted to be over loud. They cannot fail it
Figure out if its a leaky joint.. or corrosion/a hole..
joints are easiest as its round tube..but all fixes will involve paste/ gungum and some metal sheet
