Hi,
My friend's '99 Scudo with 1.9 TD engine has started to give us some trouble. First of all, it doesn't start at all unless you push accelerator pedal while starting. It did this before. Also, it first starts on two cylinders and runs really rough on idle, even after it's warmed up. When idling, there's some white-ish smoke coming out from exhaust and it sounds like it sometimes skips a cylinder. I've measured the glowplugs and they give 1k ohm resistance, which indicates they're ok. And they shouldn't affect idling when the engine is warm, anyway. What could be causing this? We tried some injector cleaner, it improved the situation a bit but not much.
