As for colours all were available on the cabriolet, however "Speed Red 148" is a Cabriolet only and wasnt availble in the UK (as far as Im aware anyway). However the Cabriolet was never sold in the UK as anything other than ELX spec with either the 1.6 and later the 1.2 16V with manual gearboxs. However some "grey" imports made it over in RHD with the 1.2 8V and also Ive seen a couple of autos as well.
All the extra strengthening in the rear and in the sills, plus I left mine quite long so there is a fare amount of nose weight. Towed ok though and none of the fiberglass or filler cracked/fell out.
Thanks, i know the sills are alot wider than normal.
Just throwing this one out to fellow Cab owners, a strut brace in the engine bay, helps loads in my opinion, even with the roof down........ helps with the dreaded scuttle shake.
Im quite a spirited driver and enjoy cornering as well as straight line speed .......... its been lowered, wider wheels, a little engine tuning........
To me , the brace made a great difference. I dont have a rear one. The front was meant for a non 16v model. But like to adapt things. I may have a look at a rear and possibly a lower front in the future.
in my experience (admittedly not of punto cabs) lower braces tend to stiffen up the chassis of a car more than upper braces and make miles more difference. So i say go for it Steve
