i have no red key, and i should be able to get hold of an ecu and red key from another punto, but does it have to be off the same model and engine size as mine (55sx) or not? will everything run ok if i carry this out? i'll be grateful for any help here.

If your car runs ok, you shouldn't worry too much. I have a cinq which shares ecu etc. with your car and have never needed the red key in 40k miles and nearly 4 years, including when the battery was off for 2 days. You can get blues cloned though, if you need a spare.

If you decide to get a new ecu and red key, as long as it is from a 55 of similar age it should work fine.

i am sure there should be a red key, the little orange key light comes on for a second when i turn the key. I only have 1 blue key, and am worried the immobiliser may go wrong (how reliable are they? anybody know?)

Fix it again tomorrow says you can get blue's cloned, i take it this means copying the code too so it works. can this be done anywhere? and is it not possible to make a red key by doing this??

i have the technology to reprogram fiat ecu`s and code blocks when the orange light comes on and stays on. the car is waiting for a red key if you dont have one i can supply one for £150 with 2 blue keys as well programed to the car all i need is the ignition key,the ecu and the code block ,email me on [email protected] my site should be up and running on www.codeman.org cheers mark
