My tailgate washer is having hick ups and I ought to take a look at it. Sorry for a stupid basic problem, but I need to remove the tailgate washer motor, but am already having problems opening the trim panel. There is a single screw and in addition a couple of press stud fixings inside the panel and I am having problems with them. Any tips on how to release the press studs?

Remove the single screw, grab the handle and pull with everything you have, the fixings are just push in upside down christmas trees (but yellow):), these push into a blur holder, the only thing that releases them is force. They don't snap very often so don't worry, even if they do snap you can get replacements from fiat for about 15p.

Do you mean the washer motor or the wiper motor?
The washer motor is in the left hand front wing next to the washer bottle an dnot in the boot.
The motor has 2 lots of contacts, the plug on the outside (give it a clean) and the prong contacts on the inside, you can get to these by sliding the little white box off the back of the motor.

Thanks! I got rid of the panel for good using some excessive force :I You're right, I meant the wiper motor. Seems like it's totally dead. Earlier it used to wipe about 30% and then just stop. With some help by pushing the wiper by hand it did move all the way, so I don't think it's a connector problem. Something must be dying inside the motor.
