I know this is going to sound silly, but how do I adjust the aim of the washer jets?

On my previous cars, I've moved them by putting a pin into the individual jet and moving it to where I wanted it.

I've tried this on mine and can't get them to move.

Is there a specialist tool or am I just being stupid?

It depends on how you want to adjust them really. On my Evo, when I upgraded mine from the mist ones to the jet ones, there were some little pads underneath the nozzle, removing it made it aim lower.

Have a look at Andy Monty's guide and remove the top bit of plastic on the bonnet. The add some rubber underneath to lift or remove to lower the jet. Don't forget that the jets change when the vehicle speed increases, so it's best to set them a fraction high to compensate.

Thank guys. Was hoping not to have to play about with the actual jet housing.
At the moment mine aim just above the wiper when its at rest, so they hit the wiper when the car is moving. Will have to do something though.

Thanks again

It's all about timing ;) Start the wipe and then skoosh while the arm is up :D

Hello :)

To make the story short : washer jets are just a piece of sh*.
Crap design to save a few $ on a thing that cost a lot : a car.

To be a bit more constructive, a new nozzle based on a new design was released some month ago :

They are still not adjustable :)rolleyes:) but they works a lot better !

Thanks for the link. Had a look and they seem much better. May look into ordering them. However, I think I'll have a look at other (Ford) ones that are adjustable. They may just have ones that can be made to fit?

If I find any, I'll let you know

You are welcome. :)

Mounting others (any make or any other model even at Fiat) will require a lot of modification in the plastic part on top of the bonnet.
Punto Jet are really specifics and clip in this part.

Yeah, I noticed that on Thursday, just after I made that suggestion. It dos look like it will be impossible to get other ones to fit.
