Hello I have a Mk2 Punto (W plate 1.2) which I love to bits, but I think the time has come to look for something newer as I have done a lot of miles. I'm considering a diesel engine for my next car. I'm not a big fan of the Grande Punto so I was thinking about buying one of the very last Mk2(B) 1.3 Multijet Puntos, something like a 55 plate. I just wondered, does anyone know if the 1.3 diesel Mk2 Punto use the same engine as in the Grande Punto? I.e. this one that was engine of the year in it's category in 2005? - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JTD#1.3

yes it was fitted with the same 1.3 but producing 70hp as opossed to the grande's 75hp, but as the mk2b is lighter this shouldn't make a difference
