yesterday i was sat in my car on my break at college. put my seat back, went to leave, put my seat up. leant bak n seat went straight bak. n now the seat wont stay up right. im holdin it up by the other seatbelt. any1 no whats goin on or how to fix the fing?

had this problem on an old rover i used to own. it was a spot weld that had given way. was spot welded back and fixed.

dont know if its that on yours or how easy it will be to get to.

may be worthing starting to look for spare seat in scrap yard to just replace.

cheers i found a seat in the scrappy, but it looked like crap n they wanted 30 quid, the seltbelt will have to do 4 da mo. lol. bit more steering wheel hugging 4 me den

Make sure the location peg is located properly (behind trim at the bottom) normally a slight adjustment with impact device (hammer to you) will do the trick

p.s.What were you doing taking a break anyway,you should be studying!

lol. i go to 2 college 9 -5, but i have a 15 min break afta each 1.5 hr lesson and for lunch i get 2 hrs. And i only go in day n a half a week. Who actually studies out of college? Probably the reason ive already failed 3 out of about 11 assignments this year.

Remove the side seat plastic trim on the outer side (nearest the door) & you wil see the mechanism.There is what looks like a wheel with a cut out at the top,above this is the locating peg which should be in this slot.
