Hi guys could someone please explain to me how I install my new plug and play ECU that I have just received to from eBay my car is a 2003 punto 1.2 8v sporting id be very grateful for some help on how I do this thanks

just connect it and start car

:yeahthat: I was worried it was one of these plug n' play +10bhp things that messes with your ECU. Just unplug your current ECU and plug the new one in. Couldn't be easier.

Also needs to sit idle until the fan kicks in, then rev'ed 3 times to 5000rpm for 20 seconds each.. Otherwise you'll have a flashing engine light.

Connect it leave ignition on for 5 minutes (without starting car) then start car leave idling for 5 minutes. Switch off engine, thats it no need to rev anything.

Not done it yet not had the time with work going to give it a go Friday or Saturday

Think it would be wise to disconnect battery while fitting.

2x Allen key bolts - it literally undoes - the old ecu then needs disconnecting
Push tab in - the pull lever (it pulls it out for you)

Swap ECU's
Drop connectors on - lever pulls it in for you - ensure tab locks to ensure no false detachment

Bolt down

Dont go made tightening them, its Alu Throttle body, just stop when its tight - and small nip shud suffice
