Hi is this a normal temperature for a punto? When sitting in traffic it goes up to the halfway point but when we get going again it drops back to the quarterly point

its not normal, when car warms up, temp gauge should stay in middle, you got bad thermostat

changing thermostat is one of the easiest things to do tho

And get it done too, I lost a head-gasket to the thermal-cycle stresses of a sticky thermostat.

A bit tricky to tell because I didn't have a gauge. However, it was less than a week between me noticing that the blowers weren't getting up to temperature and the car starting to misfire slightly due to water in the cylinders. It was a very cold winter, so the stresses were particularly extreme.
