I don't think they changed anything when they facelifted the Grande into the Evo, so I'd imagine it would be very similar to drive. I must admit, I actually much prefer the interior of the Grande. The dashboard design still looks great!
Comparing my old 1.2 Grande to my 1.4 Evo Sporting, it felt like i had been driving a toy car!
The sporting actually had some weight to it making it more fun to drive :slayer:

when i went from 1.2 60 to 1.8 131 hgt that difference was quite noticeable
horse power in evo sporting?

Hmmm, a better comparison would be either a Grande 1.2 compared to an Evo 1.2 or a Grande Sporting compared to an Evo Sporting.
Just stumbled across this thought I would update it with the story of my Grande.
Basically I ended up selling because I never used it, I never used it because the economy was crap compared to my mk2b diesel, the road tax was expensive and it handled like a barge in jelly.
So I stuck it on gumtree and auto trader and slowly lowered the price each week and month it didn't sell, the price dropped and dropped and despite good pictures and good level of detail it still didn't get anyone genuinely interested, basically traders trying to get it for silly money.
In the end I stuck it on eBay because I was getting my new car and couldn't have 4 cars knocking about. It still didn't sell and I was left with a diadema, eventually I managed to do a deal with someone who'd showed interest on eBay and basically gave it away for pennies.
What I gleaned from this is no one wants a grande, doesn't matter what condition it's in or what history it has. Dealers seem to be able to sell them probably because they are cheap compared to other cars.
Yet mk2s seem easy to sell. So keep your mk2 then move on to something else, if you want to stay in a fiat buy a panda or a 500 buy a 100hp if you want a quicker car. Bigger car buy a bravo, I don't believe the bravos hold their values either though
