Hey.
Just wondering if it's possible to wire led strips to the rear speakers on a mk2b which are located on both sides of the parcel shelf.

Yes its possible
Using the exsisting boot light - you can run wires around to power 2x led strips

its on my many Todo lists - but i havent brought any wire yet

Got the LED's
Got the Light Modification but no wire to connect it all up

You should have - even the basic of basic punto's have them.....

On the RHS - there is a little cutout for it to mount on - is the wiring there?

There is a rectangle cut out but no wires

There should be wires there
unless there is something horrible underneath it all

But an active sport should have a boot light - i've got one....

Even mine has a boot light and its the basic of all Puntos!

I've only got a rectangle hole and no wires

Take a picture and upload it so we can all see, and assist you better

Probably got forgotten at factory. Wiring will probably be behind the boot lining all being well

Yep! My punto is an ELX and didnt come with a boot light! But a few years ago my grandma had a Fiat Multipla on Motability, so before it went back we nicked it from the multipla and put it in the punto I just had a feel around inside the rectangle hole and sure enough the wires were there.

You checked the length of the wiring loom behind the carpet also

I've got a mk2b, identical age to yours and it had not boot light originally. My wires were there tho, down behind the side carpet... I just got a light from a mk2 and it slots straight in

probably removed and never refitted more likely, alot dealers remove Bulbs and boot lights so the car be open for viewing without killing the battery

Even now when the canbus turns then off after 20min anyway

And i've never had boot open long enough to know if it goes off or not

The wires will be there, just not looking hard enough, the basic of all basic punto's even comes with a boot light, not that its any major good tho!
