Hi guys looking for some help here earlier today the car stalled and now the engine ticks over but the accelerator pedal is doing nothing feels kinda stiff but no revs what so ever from it any advice would be grateful thanks

Chances are the cable has snapped. Sometimes they come off (and can be re-attached) at the footwell end.

Didnt mention what Mark version, engine version and car age etc

If its a 16v mk2 / or a 8v mk2b they use a flyby wire
mk2 8v is a Cable

Sorry guys its a mk2 8v but got the problem sorted now for some reason the pedal had got jammed and we couldnt get it released got a mechanic pal to have a look and he got it fixed
