hi on my punto 60 sx mk1, the original air filter has about 4 hoses coming off it, i have been given a aftermarket air filter and was wondering do these hoses need to be connected of can i just stick the new one on??

any advice would be great

thanks

depends on the air filter u have acquired. if u have a cone filter generally used for inductions, then u will need the induction piping, if its a direct fit replacement for the air box, then yes, u will need to fit it like stock. pics may help us understand what u want to go to and from.

Filters that simply drop onto the throttle body usually make the car slower. The induction pipe itself is important for it running properly. Ford Focus kit fits many Puntos and the GSR is the tops for power (but only really shows its worth on modded engines).
