hi, i have a punto mk2. i've just recently got it and im having trouble with the headlights. the inner bulbs light up the outer ones dont, but shouldnt both bulbs on each side light up? also the sidelights arnt lighting up. can any1 tell me where the internal fusebox is located and whcich fuses are the ones to check as the car didnt come with a handbook.

If you have a low spec model like me one of the main lights at the front dosen't do anything because they are for the foglights - but it definately sounds like you have something not working.


The fusebox is by the driver's right knee there are two poor quality plastic clips at the top and hinges at the bottom - there is a fuse diagram on the back of the cover which may tell you which is which. Unfortuantely I'm not with my car right now else I'd take a look for you in the handbook.

the ones that arent working are the round ones on the outer side? i dont think its a lower spec becoz its got alloys elec windows and mirriors and colour coded.

there are three light bulbs in the head light unit

ones near middle of car are for normal head light
middle bulb of the three comes on when you turn full beam on
the ones on outta edge are for the front fog lights. and not all puntos have them.

have you got a front fog light button in the car ???? the elec and colord coded mirros suggest you have a very high spec punto as i thought they only came on the HGT 1.8 punto.

just had a look in my maynes manual and it sais the fuse for the foglights is in the engine fusebox not the one inside the car

Yeah as fishdude says those are the foglights and if you have a button for them on the centre dash they should work. I have electric windows, colour bumpers and no foglights, but if you have alloys you will probably have foglights.
