The passenger side wiper decided to pack up this evening during the snow storm. Whilst it was hard to look at it in the conditions etc I noticed when I move it manually there is no resistance unlike the working wiper on the drivers side. Easy to rectify or terminal? Got a long journey tomorrow so if it is a quick fix I would be most grateful for any advice.

If its just one wiper that's not working it may be a simple fix. Open the bonnet and follow the wiper arms from the one that's working to the one that's not working. They are connected by a wiper arm and at the junction there is a bracket that usually works itself loose. Just plug it in again

many thanks will give it a try

I had same problem a few months ago with my HGT. The plastic bushes have worn in the linkage arm. I made a temporary repair using some 'C' clips but it didnt't last very long. Its a common problem with Puntos but its not hard to replace the linkage which comes as a complete unit including motor. Bit pricey though from a main dealer so try Ebay which is where I got mine from.
