Hello, this is a very useful forum. I have a problem with my starter motor sticking. I've been told I should be able it oil it and give it a general clean myself. Can someone let me know how to locate the starter motor, take it out and clean/oil it? I'm not that experienced with cars but I'm good with my hands and just need a point in the right direction.

, was unaware of what it was, so rang Mr RAC, who gave it a clout with a hammer, and i was off. LOL. My advice would be to take it to a specialist to get looked at. I ended up needing a new one
