Hi, All just had car in a fiat and they have notice that my engine cooling fan is on it way out and adviced ro replace it. They have quoted me £165.99 for this doing but i guess this can be done alot cheap myself. Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy one and fitting one.

I'm in the same boat as it were.

I need a fan but fancy saving a few bob and fitting it myself.

Thing is, i've looked at the fan and i can't see any manufacturer name on.

I have a 2005 Punto Active Sport 8v without air con which leaves me with two options:

Radiator Fan Motor & Cowling (VALEO) £58.74
1.2 8/16v...Without Air Conditioning!

and

Radiator Fan Motor & Cowling (MARELLI) £90.59
1.2 8v/16v - 1.4 16v...Without Air Conditioning!

What is the difference between the two manufacturers and the price?

Though about eBay? Lots of new Panda cooling fans on there, so might be the same for the Punto.

And how can you tell if its on its way out? Are you sure Fiat aren't trying to get some money?
