i have a fiat punto 60 sx mk1

i just bought an alarm to replace an old cobra alarm (that never worked) which person before me had fitted.

i have set most of alrm up but im having problems with the door locks !!

the old alarm was CUT in to :

blue/black + blue ---

light blue + green --- make the doors unlock n lock if touched together.

red/white---interior light

green/white (DONT KNOW WAT THIS IS FOR)

-----------------

NEW ALRM WIRES HAVING A PROBLEM WITH HAVE NO CLUE WHERE TO ATTACH THEM

white
yellow ------unlock
orange

white/black
yellow/black ------- LOCK
orange/black

green--- door posative trigger

blue-----door negative triggeR#

ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS

the lock & unlock wires are shown in the guide linked.
its a negative polarity system

the wires that are the door lock are not the wires pointed out in link
the wires that have been used by old alarm are coming out of white box next to picture.

they are light blue/ white.
and i have tried a few ways of linking them up but had no luck ?

what do you mean they are not?as in you have tersted them and they dont function?

the central locking that makes doors open close when you touch the wires and wat the "OLD" alarm was cutinto are the wires coming out of the white box not the ones circled in yellow?

i just need to know how to connect the post & negative door triggers
the white,orange & yellow ---white/black, yellow/black & orange black from diagram.

I might have circled the wrong part in the pic, cant remember it now., you cane use the wires that the original alarm is tapped into for the central locking.,

if im reading it correctly they are as follows,
Orange and orange/black go to ground, any good grounded metal bolt/nut will do.,
Yellow and yelow/black go to a constant positive, like the red wire on the alarm module.
and the white and black/white are the ones you connect to the CL wires in the white block you mentioned above.,.,(y)

thanks for the help so far i think its work but the door locks wont lock?

from the diagram i have attched

brown = to light blue indicators (fiat)
black= to - battery
red= to + battery
pink= siren
siren earth wire = - battery
orange N orange black = eath just near fuse box on a bolt
yellow n yellow black= THE RED CABLE THAT GOES 2 BATTREY i cutin halfway
white white black= light blue n white cental locking wires (fiat)

i didnt connect the rest of wires i.e the foot brake and the imobilizer etc or do i need these all connected ?
i just didnt want to mess about with the ignition untill i was 100% (i already had to get new igniation as it is)

i did plug in the senor the hijacking and reset switches plus led

when i tested it door locks go up n down a few times (on there own) then rest at unlock. when i press lock on the key fob alrm arms and siren pips but locks dont react at all , if i then press open on key pob the locks click (but they already open )

so have i made a mistake some where???:bang: :bang: :bang:

thanks:worship:

that sounds like both the unlock and lock wires have a ground at the same time, they should only have a ground pulse one at a time., check them with a continuity tester to make sure they only have a ground pulse rather than a constant signal.,(y)

i twisted the tops of the orange and orange and black and added them to bolt (together)
should i cut one wire into the other as it shows in diagram:confused

I ALSO DID THIS WITH THE YELOW WIRES I CUT THEM IN TO THE RED ALRM WIRE(+ BATTERY) BUT I JUST TWISTED THE TOPS TOGETHER.
should this be cut in ?
