After reading many different posts on this forum there seems to be a lot of uncertainty about how to get the AUX (IPod connection etc) working.

Just to clarify, this is for the
Fiat Punto Evo 2010 with Blue & Me functions. (shiny black glossy head unit)

After many different attempts I finally came to a fully working solution.

What you need:
- Aux cable
- Radio Keys
- Scissors
- Electricians Tape

(For a professional connection between the wires you may want to use a Terminal Block)

However I find scissors and electricians tape works just as well.

FIRST
Using the radio keys remove the Glossy head unit. (You might need to give it a bit of a yank as it may be a right fit).

SECOND
Locate the grey connector block, plugged Into the back of the radio.
(A small blue block will be joint onto this)

THIRD
Disconnect they grey and blue block.

FOURTH
Strip back the safety tape that is protecting the wires going I to the grey block and you want to look at the wire diagram ontop of the radio to locate the 3 aux wires.
(Should be the 3 end wires of the grey connector block)

FIFTH
Strip the end of your aux wire so that you have the RED, WHITE and BLACK wires. (Strip the individual protective coating off each individual wire)

SIXTH
Now you need to cut the 3 cables that are connecting into the aux parts of the connector block and strip back the coating, so that you can then connect in each wire.
And wrap them individually in electricians tape (or use a terminal block).

SEVENTH
Now you should have you AUX wires connected to the Blue and Me aux wires.

AUX TO BLUE AND ME WIRE

RED AUX connects to Grey Wire
BLACK AUX connects to Black wire
WHITE AUX connects to Green wire

-------------------------------------

The hard part is now over.

If you want to make it look tidy you can slide the wire down the back of the console so it drops down next to the cup holder.

TURN YOUR CAR OFF AND CONNECT YOIR IPOD/IPHONE

turn your radio on.

Press Media and you will see AUX and you will be able to listen to you music!

HOWEVER. Turning your ignition on will then stop this from working.

In order to get around this. When the ignition is on. AUX only works through the blue and me media player therefore what you need to do is.

Get a USB Stick

Place a blank.MP3 file on it with nothing else.

Plug it Into the usb slot in your car and let the car play the blank mp3. As that's the only file on the is. Stick the car will keep playing that but you will hear nothing.

Whilst the car thinks it's playing music off your memory stick

You can now play music through the aux wire!

This 100% works and there will be photos to come!

Any questions message me on BBM

I will however accept no responsibility should you break or damage your car in any way. I know a bit about electrics so do not attempt of you have no knowledge of wires.

I hope this solves a lot of people's mysteries about this issue.

(audacity is a great program for making a blank mp3)

Photo before connecting the wires properly and before snipping any wires just push the 3 wires into the corresponding holes , and you will see how it works 100%
