hi my panda 1.3 diesel 58 plate starts then wont start again for for 5 or 10 minutes.I have fitted a new battery, crank shaft sensor, dried and sealed ecu unit.Nothing shows up on a scan, any suggestions to what could be causing this problem.many thanks

when my punto multijet did this i finally traced it to a corroded main cable end that came from the starter motor to the underbonnet fuse box, basically all the power was getting taken by the starter and non left for the actual electronics needed for the engine
on stripping the fuse box the bolt was just a pile of rust
replacement took little time and restored sanity
worth checking

Our MJ did this on several occasions a couple of years ago. Closer inspection found the cable from the piggy-back starter solenoid into the motor itself badly corroded, down to the last few threads.
(It's only a couple of inches long, and I've noticed on some Pandas it's bare braided wire, on others it's covered with a plastic sleeve.)

It's easy to check if you can crawl under the car :)
