Needs must but I am about to do a ton more mileage which really doesn't suit my Panda so with a heavy heart...its for sale :(

I am very attached to this little car its been faultless for 18 months and being in to VW's (hence the username) I thought I would be spending a lot more on maintenance, turns out the Panda is super reliable!

Am I being a bit sad? I rarely get attached to cars but this one seems to of gotten under my skin, am I being stupid?!

Park it up and get a cheap runabout.

Just this week I've put my 500 sport in the garage and substituted it for an 05 1.4 tcdi ford fusion with 80k miles on the clock for my 150 mile daily. As an archaeologist im up dodgy country lanes and the like. Im not willing to sacrifice the 500.

As above. If space permits why not keep it and get something else for the days you commute.

Although not a 100hp, I have a Multijet which I have had for 12 years. I'm now at 130K miles and have no thoughts of changing. We're just going to keep on running. There's been several attempts over the last few years to talk me out of it, but you kind of get attached and you know that a Panda is for life, not just for Christmas! :)

I would also agree with comments so far. If you in anyway can park it up/store it etc...do it

I've own my 100hp less than a year and I'm already considering it a "forever car" :slayer:

I normally bike commute (it's not ideal but hey) about 40 miles each way on motorways. (bike tyres are "HOW MUCH" and not last very long).

For the last two weeks (wife in Spain with the kids) I've been using the Panda 1.2. TBH it does the job very well. The more capable 100HP would be welcome because I do tend to over-drive it, but as a "get me there and back" vehicle it does the job very well.

I think we get over fussed with all the goodies and farkles on modern cars. The Panda does a good job and does it reliably.
