Hi,

So, about 5 years ago I sold my 100hp and have always missed it. Now I'm in the position where I'm hoping to swap our second car and reckon a 100hp could do the job, only snag is that the interim 5 years have boosted the hp_source family 2 new members.

Does anyone have/use two car seats in the 100hp, one for a 2-3 year old (either isofix or belt in), and one currently rear facing baby/infant carrier (ours is Silver Cross, but anything for comparison)?

Does leg room up front suffer? Never really had rear passengers in the old one... how times changes!

Cheers!

I've got a Sporting, but I can't imagine the leg room is much different. I am 5'10" and my daughter who has just turned 6 can't really sit behind me anymore in her child seat. It is actually worse for her than an adult because in the child seat the legs don't dangle down into the space.

I'd say you'l be fine for a few years though...

Yes, 2 Recaro Sports for the 8 and 5 year old. The 10 year old uses a booster.

Leg room is a tiny bit tight, but if I don't have a front passenger I put the passenger seat forward.

I have two Jane Momo seats in the back of my car. In the past I have had a Jane Matrix which was probably the largest rear facing seat there was which fitted on a pram. It did my kids till they were 15 months old. I also had a toddler seat in between times until the youngest one decided to escape from his seat at every opportunity so I bought an Xtend for the Momo seat and he couldn't escape anymore. I'd definitely recommend that combination as I felt it would have been safer than a harness in the case of an accident. The Momo with Xtend will do from whenever they're allowed to forward face through the toddler years and then without the Xtend the Momo itself will do up to whenever they are big enough to do without a booster. They use isofix and can be reclined. They're also well padded and very comfortable for the child. I don't recall any problem with legroom.

What age is the youngest child?

Here's a blast from the past for me. My youngest is now 7 and the oldest will be 9 next week.

Thanks for the replies - good to see a photo with a couple of seats/kids in too for reference. Mine are currently 4months and 2 and bit years old so reckon from the replies I'll be fine for a few years at least, if I can find a 100hp at a dealers/garage I'd ask to try my seats in it before committing anyway.

Now all I have to do is find a good one!

Cheers
