Hello, Been a stalker of this forum for quite some time now I have decided to finally make an account! Unfortunately my first post isn't for any good reasons. A leak has been discovered on the right-hand-side rear of my 1.2 Panda Dynamic.

I haven't managed to give it a full examination yet as it was dark. I will check for any puddles in the morning. The leak appears to be coming from up near the fuel filler. I don't believe it is fuel judging by the smell, it has a sort of antifreeze smell to it. I did have to refill my window washer fluid the other day, which has a similar smell. I am not sure if that could mean a leak in that system, a possible cause of the leak could be in the rear window washing system? ( I am not sure where the lines to the rear washer are run).

As seen in the images there are wet patches underneath the vehicle. Does anyone have any idea on the cause? hope it is not serious as I am part exchanging this panda soon for a 100HP.

First of all hi! Second in regards to your post have you monitored your fluid levels over a couple of days, that looks quite fresh and unfortunately fluid does sometimes travel a distance from where it originates from so it would be hard to say without further investigation. I would check and keep an eye on my fuel and brake levels as thats the mains things to rule out. I take it is waterish fluid and not oliy fluid as that can rule out other stuff as well.

Hi to you and welcome,

Looking at your photos, it looks as though it might be fuel leak. The large pipe, if I'm not mistaken,
runs straight towards the fuel tank. The other end of this pipe goes straight to your filler cap. I'd suggest you jack the rear drivers side and remove wheel. Next, look inside your wheel arch, up towards the filler cap, and inspect it. Just being curious now, but does the leak be more pronounced at fill up times? You can also remove the plastic cover which runs parallel to the road wheel. The cover is held by 3 plastic screw caps, and once removed you should see 2 black plastic boxes and piping connections made to them.

You may spot the culprit in this location.
Hope this helps.
John.
