Hi all,

My father is having a few problems with his Panda at the moment... please see my recent thread "/panda/359279-57-1-2-eleganza-jerking-kangarooing-flat-spot" (sorry, but I'm not allowed to post links due to having a low post count).

In the event that he can't put this right himself, please can anyone recommend a reliable 'Fiat-aware' garage (ideally a Fiat specialist) in the North Hampshire / West Berkshire area (e.g. somewhere around Basingstoke, Newbury or possibly even Reading). There is a dealership near Basingstoke where he has the servicing done, but he would rather avoid the high cost of using main dealers for repair work, if possible!

Thanks,
Jon

I'll modify my query slightly:-

Is there a forum member in the N Hants / W Berks (e.g. Basingstoke / Newbury) area who can perform a reset on my father's 57 Panda Eleganza's Dualogic ECU please? He would obviously be happy to make a financial contribution for this to be done.

This is necessary to correct the annoying kangerooing he experiences when moving from a standstill, as more thoroughly described and debated here... https://www.fiatforum.com/panda/359279-57-1-2-eleganza-jerking-kangarooing-flat-spot.html

Or can someone recommend a garage in that area that has successfully done this for them?

Thanks

Hi,
the excellent Black + White FIAT/ Alfa dealer shut up shop a couple of years ago, but the mechanics set-up in Newbury,

other option is Roberts Aerospace ( Italian car specialist in Boarhunt)
did great Alfa engine service at a good price,

Boarhunt is a bit too far away, but Newbury would be very convenient - any idea what name the former B&W mechanics now trade under?

Thanks.

It's not Soton mate but Bishops Waltham.
From west Berks 45 mins.
I always travel for a good mechanic, used to do 2h+ to service my previous Subaru.

Fair point, but it looks like an recommended alternative has now been suggested that would be a lot nearer for my father.

But I will also pass on your suggestion, thanks.
