Hello all,

I have spend the last month reading all the posts and i have made my mine up to purchase a 100HP, i have seen about 5 so far, (n) but have all been dogs.

I am hopeful about looking at the below motor,:) he his been very straight with me and pointed out any issues there are with the car ( nothing major ).

eBay Item number:171028223847 (cant post links because a newbie )

Im going to have a look at this tomorrow.. any advice welcome.(y)

If all goes well. the first thing to get changed is the manifold (supersprint), the above car has a very slight issue with the flexi-pipe on the middle section. I will be changing this.

My question is with regards, what have other people have done after getting rid of the mani-cat/kat section.

i.e whats the choose for a sports cat as the supersprint is just daft money. Im not goint to run a staight section to replace the middle section, as i'm not after a huge exhaust note.

1. Supersprint Manifold = Supersprint
2. ???? Replacement Kat
3.Replace Middle section = Ragazzon Stainless Steel Centre Silencer
4.BackBox= OEM for now.

Maybe : Ragazzon Stainless Steel Performance Manifold + High Flow Catalyst 200cpsi + Centre Silencer Diameter 50mm (Fiat 500/Panda 1.4 16V)

Might be an answer. But i would prefer the supersprint mani.

I have read people say take caution when ordering from gezzalla racing. WHY?

Cheers

Nick

Can't comment on the enhancements you want to make, but you've seen a few already and should have a fair idea as to what to look out for.

I bought mine knowing it was a cat c, 4 years previous when it needed a paint job and the insurance paid out. I paid £2.5k, on a two owner car with great history, 37k miles. Issues would be the torque steering sensor and the brakes had a squeak. Every car is different, so take it out for a test drive and really listen for wee noises.

Mines is also black - I refurbished my alloys to an almost black / gunmetal. I may also tint the rear lights a bit darker so the red isn't as pronounced.

Whatever you do, keep it simple. The car already looks the part, and it's amazing how many drivers are caught off guard when you put the foot down. It doesn't need much, other than being cared for.

Price is a little steep, car will have to be exactly as described to make it worth it. He mentions whats been done but not what needs to be done, so look out for that. - Check all over car for any paint or panel damage. (Sunny day will help u see any distortions)
- Check all panels and trims gaps if the align properly
- Check engine bay for rust and be ware if its too dirty or too clean (if so i'd take it to the garage for inspection)
- Check inside for any stains or damage u might have to deal with or missing ( should effect the price then)
- He mentioned belt, shocks... but check the rest that might have to be changed. Battery, tyres, gas refill for air con. All the small thing that u'll have to deal with ( should effect the price)
- Take it for a test drive. (before u start engine check if its not warm - if so there might be a hidden reason why he had to warm it up for u - take it to the garage)
- Push through all gears on a fast stretch up and down (1-6 and 6-1) and do few sharp left and right corners (roundabouts r good for that) to check if anything knocking. If so take it to the garage.

I'm not a pro but thats what I did when I bought mine. Good luck buddy! (y)

Do reasonably quick take-off with steering on both extremes of lock (not at the same time!) - will show up any UJ issues. Raise revs a bit, hold clutch down for a few seconds and put into reverse - any crunch indicates that clutch is dragging for some reason. On straight flat road - look in mirror take hands off wheel a bit/hold very lightly and brake sharply to a standstill to check for pulling to the side - brakes and suspension alignment.

Chaps thanks for the info. Just got back after leaving at 5:45am. Im now a owner of a 100hp :) good six hours spend in the car on the return journey :) Will post a update soon. As i'm dead on my feet..

Needs timing belt done yesterday if it's never been before. Also get the front tints checked, as probably not legal, but can't tel from the pics.

Thank you for your concern,
Visual Light Transmission (VLT) through
front windscreens= non, front side windows = 70%, rear side/back window = 20% done at pentagonglasstech.

cambelt done at 50k, if thats what you mean by timing belts?

Cheers

Paid £3200

Looks tidy enough. It's screaming for the calipers being painted red of course.

Before shelling out loads of money on new pipework, why not try it out for a few months. See what you think.

I've also been looking at 100HP's

Had a drive in one the other day at an independent dealer. They had two on the forecourt - 1 stock and 1 on behalf of the owner.

Too much to change to tempt me with the stock one.

I get a phone call today offering the other car at a figure I said I'd be prepared to pay for the test driven one.

coincidence, karma or sales technique?
