Hi all

My rear bump stop has fallen off. I want to have a go at fitting this myself, but need a bit of help. I will start with undoing the top shock bolt and then push down on the torsion bar, but my main question is - will I need a spring compressor, or is there no spring compression due to the small springs.

Any help/advice would be tops.

Thanks

So you would start from the bottom, rather than the top??? I may true and glue the stopper back first as its still complete.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah, no point having the shock still attached to the bean and then trying to push it down, it will flop about and get in the way. just leave it hanging from top bolt

Glue probs wont hold and the first time it comes in to contact it will come off again. new ones arent that expensive anyway, I bought the ones from the diesel panda and theyre shorter so dont hit as much

Thanks - I will take your advice and just start from the bottom. I don't think taking everything apart will be the problem - I was just worried about putting it back together without a spring compressor. All this hassle to change abit of rubber............might be worth changing the shocks at the same time.

Its only 1 bolt either side you'll need to do so you should be fine. while you're there, uprated springs too? :D
