I have a 08 reg panda 4x4 and I have noticed that it seems to stone chip a lot and it chips right down to bare metal it seems..... Is this likely to rust? I remember as a kid we had old fiats like the original 500 and a fiat amigo van; both of which would rust terribly if they had a stone chip or a scratch?

If its down the the bear metal it'll rust on any car! You sure its the bear metal

It looks like it unless the undercoat is metal coloured.....

I've a few on mine as you described, mines three years older and hasn't rusted yet. Get a touch up pen, paint on these are real thin..

Pandas are fully galvanised, so very unlikely to rust from stone chips.

The base electrophoretic paint coat is a light grey colour, and then the primer is normally grey but could be white dependent upon top coat. The panel is gavanised so if a stone chip did get right through the ca 100um of paint layers then the zinc will sacrifically protect any exposed steel.
