After 4 years and 80 000 km of Panda ownership, I have sold my little Multijet.

I couldn't help but feel a little emotional as I watched the new owner drive away in my little red car, but I know she'll treat it well and feed it all the kilometers it could ever want.

So that's it, no more car at the moment, just the motorcycle. Perhaps I should start hunting for a nice Peugeot 406 TS6 V6 estate for my 4-wheeled fix ;)

Bye bye little Panda, it's been fun :)

Glad you enjoyed your car!

Can I ask, did the red paint keep its colour over the four years?
I'm considering a red one and want to make sure the paint won't fade.

Would welcome views from any other red panda owners too!

Cheers,
Dunc

It didn't fade at all, from what I could tell.

I'm pretty sure that even after 10 years, all it would need is a clean, a polish and some good old Turtle wax, and it'd look like new again. Of couse, at that point the stone chips would probably necessitate more thorough restoration work on the front. The paint on all Pandas is quite thin.

I had a red Seicento for 11yrs before getting my red Panda.
I washed it regularly, and waxed it occasionally and the colour stayed well. When I px`ed it, it still looked new. I`m gonna keep the Panda washed & waxed too, hopefuly, that will last until I sell it too.

Thanks Jerseywurzel.

As you say, a good wax every few months provides a huge amount of protection from the elements.
