Bit random But just wondering What you love about your panda? and what you detest or pet hate?

I love my mpg and cheap tax and comfort.

I hate the soundproofing really bad for roadnoise imo & the rattles that come from passenger airbag and dash.

Love - The smile it still gives me, the look of it and that not many are about where I live

Hate - High tax bracket and the MPG
:p

Love: Value for money, fuel mileage, reliability, feels "eager" to drive.

Hate: Not very fast at all, could have done with an extra 20hp and 50nm and a stronger clutch, severe lack of comfort on some rough roads.

Love: The brilliant engine, sharp handling and how rare they are!

Hate: When I'm really tired am I just want to get home the ride can get a bit annoying in that situation.

Love: Its charm, how skinny it is, the position of the gear stick

Hate: Tax bracket, uncomfortable seat, trying to fit big/lots of things in it

Not my car so I can speak "freely" - and it's hardly random when you ask a direct question. Hate the pogo suspension which reminds me of a hydro-gas setup at times, the lack of power, the cheap, easy to snap off air vent flappy disks, the poor visibility when turning right (enormous door pillar), the lack of height adjustment for the driver seat meaning I have to hunch down to see out the windscreen, the stupid placement of the electric window buttons and that the rear seat won't fold properly flat. Oh, and the way ours eats it's way through front tyres.
Whereas I really like the high access which lets the wife clamber in and out without problem, the expensive sounding "chunk" the doors make on closing, the so quiet engine and exhaust and the very good turning circle. The, up to now, low running costs - since I discovered a good, independant, service garage and the solid reliabilty of the thing - off road once since new in '07 with a flat battery.
For a weirdly designed vehicle which drives like a brick outhouse on exposed roads, and considering it's low price, it's still a good little car and one which, mostly, blows the stupid expression, "you get what you pay for". Well, I suppose you do, a cheap little runabout, provided you don't mind standing out from the crowd! Easy to find in a car park though :D

My 100HP

Love: Fast & pulls well up the rev's, Headunit size in the dash for a double Dinn, heater is quick to get warm, not much body roll, cheapish insurance, seats, car size.

Hate: Wind noise, road tax creaping up as now £170, standard brakes, my local dealer not being fast enough doing a 48k service, took them 2.5 hours last year.

Love- Colour. It's shape, which makes it quirky as well as having a small road presence and a surprising amount of capacity. Gear stick placement. Visibility. MPG. Heater is very quick. Surprising ability over long distances. Eager to rev. Cheap to insure. Fun on skinny tyres.

Hate - Sometimes very bouncy. I'm 6'1 and my head is in line with the rear windows! That's not too bad though, and I get a nice spot on the window for my elbow. No iPod connection. High sides make it a bit dicey in the wind.

I think that's everything.

Overall it's just a good little car with character that does most things far better than it has any right too.

What's wrong with it? I think it's brilliant.
Every car I've driven, until now, had the driver window button on that door. Whenever I get to use the Panda I scrabble for a few seconds before realising and then fumbling to find the thing with the, to me, wrong hand.

Love
flexible engine / great gear selector / smooth and light clutch / well judged brakes / effective handbrake / clear instruments / huge door mirrors / decent front seats / space in the back/ fun to drive / engine quick to warm up / cabin ergonomics / brilliant turning circle / ease of parking / reliability / low insurance.

Hate
poor wet road handling (on stock Continental tyres) / front seat belt fasteners recessed too far / only one remote key / cheap cabin plastics / easily chipped paintwork / cleaning the small gaps in the alloy wheels / pathetic horn (fixed by adding the low tone) / windscreen washers / accuracy of the clock / no rear centre lapbelt for occasional extra passenger.

Love : Looks, Attitude, Handling, Size, Versatility, Noise, Fun Factor, Ability to pull 6,000rpm in top.....

Hate: Sound of suspension rattle on unweighted inside wheels when cornering on a mission, Complexity of doing valve clearances when someone's fitted a bloody supercharger....

Wouldn't change it for the world, although a TA 4x4 would be a very good garage mate.

Love
Its a Panda (100HP), a car with no massive ego (take note certain German marques) does all I want, and makes me smile!

Hate
We had to sort the suspension out (thank you koni damper FF thread), and I was going to fit some new discs on the back.

Took off the caliper, removed the pads and the 2 x 12mm bolts, still the disc wouldn't come off because of the caliper carrier.

No worries I will remove that..undid 1 torx bolt....couldnt get the other off because of the suspension not allowing enough room for my socket....

...ok then, you wont beat me! I will remove the hub...

...did that only to be beaten by the ABS sensor - undid the bolt, but the sensor didn't come out!

As I didnt want to mess too much, I put it all back - hey the discs weren't bad anyway - I was only changing as they cost £20 for a pair of new Brembo's!

Of course I still love it, but smile as the old Fiats were so much easier - mind you its the same with them all now...eeeeeh when I were a lad etc etc

:)
