I have a FIAT PANDA DYNAMIC petrol 2004 1242cc

a few months ago an intermittent fault with the immobiliser - began, disamming the engine, engine will turn, but won't start

I have two blue keys, only one has ever worked, the good key operates the central locking and can hear the fuel pump fire up

I have now fitted new battery has been fitted and have good volatge, but problem but persits

the fault then became perminant, I managed to start it using the key code, using the acelerator and started the card 2-3 times with this method,

but after parking for an hour the car would no longer accept the code
have disconnected the battery for a few hours and tried the code again, which was accepted but at the point at which the key locks in the ignition. Same problem persists

any ideas if this is key or ignition barrel or anything else? help very much apriciated
