Come March 2 will become 3 in our house.

My wife is having to hand back her company car so we're looking to get a cheap run-about to fill the gap (I'd like a Panda).

We're quite taken with the Quinny Buzz 3 as a push chair, anyone got any ideas as to whether it'll fit if we get a Panda?

Thanks.

Can't say specifically about that Quinny Buzz 3, but we fit a normal foldy-down four wheel pushchair in our boot most days, and there's still room for a few bags of shopping.............

Apparently a scan of the web tells me:

Folded dimensions 80 x 20 x 60 cm wheels off

Folded dimensions 80 x 67 x 31 wheels on (this is the way we're most likely to pack it)

Folded dimensions 45 x 111 x 67 seat on facing front

Thanks again for your help.

If you go for the Quinny Buzz you'll have to remove the parcel shelf to fit it in. I'm not that keen on leaving my car parked up with the contents of the boot on view. I'd go for something smaller...

I bought a Jane Carrera Pro and it fits well. They also do a Solo which is about the same dimensions. I bought the lie-flat Matrix car seat which although heavy was great and my little one slept in it most of the time. You need to also consider that ideally babies only stay in an upright car seat for no more than two hours a day as they're bad for the baby's back and it hinders their breathing. Lying flat they can stay in there all day. The Matrix allowed me to sit my baby up too as desired. It can also go in the car sitting up too. They also do another car seat Strata which is designed to aid the baby's breathing.

I second that Wee Smurf.

We also have the Jane (pronounced "Ha-nay" if you're posh) Carrera Pro Matrix pushchair/pram/lie-flat seat.

We have driven to Italy for the past 4 years (although not in the Panda)and have used the lie-flat seat for driving through the night with both our girls when they were babies - 9 months.

We still use the Jane as a pushchair which folds and fit in width ways in the boot with plenty of room both on top and in front for bags etc. - no need to remove parcel shelf.

One note:- The Matrix in the lie flat position will occupy the whole back seat and use both belts to anchor, make sure you get a current model as I notice that they have improved the padding/support around the head and the anchoring points.

Enjoy parenthood - it's the best thing! (y) (...but can be a tad tiring at times). Make sure you get out and have plenty of meals/trips to the cinema/lie-ins over the next 3 months, they all become a thing of the past!
