obviously combined with the straight through centre section...

I presume the second, cheaper one will be louder, less backbox n all?

Seeing as you live in Bolton, which is not a million miles from Macclesfield why not go to JP and get them to make you an exhaust to spec.

I've had them do a fair bit of work for me over the years and their workmanship is top notch, also lifetime guarrantee and no more expensive than off the shelf systems. Big advantage is that you get exactly what you want. Am almost tempted to get them to make me one for my new 100hp.

Seriously, I wouldn't go anywhere else, they could do it for you in a few hours.

Ooh thats interesting thanks for the info! I know Mac as I used to live in Marple, Stockport. I'll check the out thanks.

What's this Group N thing all about then?

I have been thinking about an exhaust on my 100hp for a long while now. And seeing that Ragazzon now do a smaller diameter exit pipe (I want the upgraded exhaust to look as subtle as possible) it may be a definate upgrade now.

MED.

I have the group N backbox and straight centre pipe but am still waiting for the car to put it on.Should be here 1st of Sept.
The group N exhaust is going to be louder than the standard Ragazzon backbox because the silencer is smaller as it doesn't meet European noise regs. How loud I don't know yet,it's a bit of a gamble!
I will let people know as soon as I can.
By the way I ordered my exhaust through Gazzella racing and I know they have had a knocking on this site. Mine was delivered in good time and with good service.Just don't expect it overnight.

Sounds interesting. Please let us know when you have it all fitted, love to know what you think.

Mmmm, very intresting!

I've used youtube to check some movies about an group N exhaust.
There was a VW Polo GTI doing a db drag. It really sounded like hell.
It was putting out 126 db on the db meter. It has fitted a full group N cat-back system and a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold.

In my opinion it is too loud... I could not hear the radio in the car when they drove it.
And the police will give ma a ticket when i do a fly by!!!

But of course i want to hear it on a 100HP.
Try to change my mind I would say!!

I'd expect a group N exhaust to be way too loud for road use and bloody annoying, but i do loathe loud exhausts.

This makes very interesting reading as I'm aware of members on here who don't like the sound of the system that I've got on mine which has the normal Ragazzon backbox and straight through centre pipe. It's not loud as such, just raspy. Can't wait to hear this Group N one now though! :p

Just to let you know that my car has arrived and I'm picking it up on Thursday the 4th.(White,pando kit and sub)Don't know how long it will take to get the exhaust fitted but will get it done as soon as I can.

The system is on and to be honest I don't think its too loud really. The Ragazzon is a very low tone, quite bassy, and there are a couple of points on the rev range where it can be a bit boomy in the car.It has set off one car alarm when I drove past but so did my classic Mini with a cat back, maybe the low frequency.I have the speaker upgrade fitted and that is more than able to drown out the exhaust even with the windows open.
It is not what I would call raspy at all and it does burble very nicely when you blip it but not so much on overrun.I will have to see how it sounds when its burnt in.
Whether its worth having over the other ragazzon system I don't know yet.I will have to get someone to do a driveby so I can see what it sounds like on the outside. To be honest I'm more bothered by the annoying rattle coming from the dash and the squeaking front wheel when I turn right!Maybe a binding brake, will keep you posted.
ps.Sorry, but I am unable to upload a video at the moment.

Much better if it's not too loud.
I am waiting for the video to take the decision about buy it or not.
Please, post the video when you can ;)

Yesssssss!!! I've found a youtube video of an Italian 100HP fitted with the group N silencer and mid section without damper.

It is not as loud as I tought it would be. It's a nice deep sound.
They stuffed somone in the boot to record the movie and they left it open a bit. So I don't know the sound inside the car.

Here it is!!

And some throttle.

Bit far i'm in Bolton :)

Sounds pretty awesome in that first youtube video good find thanks. Pretty sure i'm going to order the group n one now.

Got the Group N backbox and centre straight through section fitted. Very raspy sounds really nice. Can get a little boomy on the motorway at 80mph ish if u plant ure foot. Looks good too not a stupidly big exhaust tip :)

Have a slight problem with the rear hanger on the car touching the centre pipe of the exhaust when the system warms up and you chuck it around a bit.The guys who fitted it said that they may have to cut the end off the hanger on the car but it's up to me...
It makes a real nasty noise cus it's metal touching metal and vibrating through the floor of the car.Anyone else with a Ragazzon had this problem and do you think their solution is a good idea or not?
