Put down a deposit on a Panda Pop and will return to Fiat ownership for first time in 3 years after selling my 2008 Fiat 500 as it was too bouncy in November 2008. I think the new Panda is great and seemed more composed on a test drive.

Is £295 really worth it for a red one I have gone for a white pre-registered good price.

MPG in official brochures is 5mpg down on old shape Panda

Nice to see another new Panda owner on the way!

We had a 500 before the Panda and it was indeed much less refined in terms of ride comfort. I genuinely believe Fiat have done a really good job in making it feel more refined without losing the fun factor. I love throwing the car around corners - well sort of anyway!:D

Interesting to see another Pop owner; I really couldn't see many of them shifting as I felt they were too expensive for the standard kit offered (particularly in comparison to the Easy model). Maybe I was wrong!

As for the colour, only you will know if it's right one or not. We toyed with the idea of just having the standard free white colour, but ultimately we went for Sweet Dreams Turquoise as we preferred it. If you like the red then of course it will be worth it.

As for the average MPG quoted (54.3 mpg), it's well within the new Panda's reach. I've mentioned on here before that the 1.2 seems to have had a few tweaks (compared to the same unit in the 500) and seems happier holding its own in 5th gear at 70. Given that it's heavier as well, it's no big surprise that consumption appears higher, but in my opinion it is a much better all-round engine now.

I think the engine is a rpoven strength. Only went for Panda because I got basic Pop with delivery miles for less than a 3 door VW Up! If it had been the otehr way round would have gone for UP!

Like the new Panda interior seems improved and stereo better than up!

Still worried about it being bouncy compared to the settled Up!

I've got a 1.2 Pop in white and it's great. I'd like to have the coloured dash, leather steering wheel and maybe a glove box door but otherwise couldn't be happier. I actually prefer the plain seats rather than the pattern the other specs have and there's nothing else I'd want from the higher spec Panda's in terms of equipment or roof rails etc.

MPG is excellent and can be improved slightly with some subtle changes. (y)
