Good evening everyone, wonder if anyone could kindly shed some light for me. Basically my instrument cluster lcd screen is on it way out to the point now I can’t see the temperature of the car. I bought a new instrument cluster but got one out of a 2017 panda and the petrol bars are the wrong way round when I installed it also the mileage. So my question is if I get the correct year instrument cluster, will I have to use scanner and software to do a proxi alignment or will it automatically update thank you

You can advance the milage using mes to match your own. You cannot reduce the miles on the new clock.Im unsiure of the proxi situation, but personally would expect a new instrument cluster to work without. I cant remember seeing anything about proxi on the instruments in MES. You might be best to seek out an automotive electroncs specialist to swap the new LCD over.

Thanks very much, I’ll give it ago was a nightmare to start with as you have to remove the radio and all the trim to get the cluster out😂. Also the lcd is super easy long as you buy a mini tool kit had it out for the previous cluster lcd. Thanks for you help buddy

If you watch the video @lunchbeers put up (one post back), they only replaced the lcd panel and retained the rest of the cluster. When it’s powered up, a mileage is shown. That might suggest it’s stored somewhere in the cluster itself… so if you can replace just the lcd panel, it should retain the data your car has already collected…. Maybe…
