wee bit of help guys.. I've not got the computer and need the part number for the gearbox boot on the drivers side shaft.

I've got a leak and to get it done by wednesday I'll need to order it by tomorrow and I'm not back home till tomorrow night:(

Thanks in advance...

Jim

Hello Jim.
I am assuming that this is for Sylvia, if so suspect

Boot 7621245
Bearing ( if required ) 92601390

Check Boot 7625541 but I believe this is for the near side only

Also listed for earlier models, Boot 92601216

Your VIN will confirm which when you order.
Rgds.

thanks alan!
Btw, sylvia is 1991, it'r juppy thats the 87

Jim

How do you manage to get parts for Juppy from Fiat? Do you just order bits for Sylvia and hope they will fit Juppy?!!!

That's kind of what I do with my '86 Uno - just order parts for a mk2 (89 onwards) Uno. Most of the running gear is the same between models but I'm stuck at the moment trying to order some gearbox seals as Fiat changed the gearboxes between mk1 and mk2. The dealer nearest to me has just opened and I don't think most of the staff there even know Fiat made a model called the Uno... :bang:

Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread Jim!

Would anyone know the part numbers of the headlight washer jets on the 4x4 Sisley, and the required water tank.

I'm wanting to fit some to the Selecta because of the high mileage I'm doing, I'm forever cleaning the headlights. Would anyone know if Fiat still supply these parts new, or are they another obsolite item?

If the dealers worth his salt at all he will be able to tell you what you require through the chassis number. My dealers never let me down this way.

Yes, but Eper won't recognise chassis numbers before 1990 :bang: Every attempt comes up with "Chassis Number not recognised" :(

Plus all 'new' Fiat dealers only have Eper. Very, very few have access to the microfiches that used to be use, and it is these that have the information on the older models.

I remember this problem in that I'd a lot of nonsenses with the dealer over the headlight switch cause the chassis number didn't show up on the eper but we got round it cause the part hadn't changed for 10 years so it wasn't an issue. All the rest of Juppy's parts came off other cars or from on here...

If Fiat still suplies these parts, it won't be cheap. The essential parts alone cost about 200 Euros in 2003. (reservoir, pump, valve, gasket, bracket, jets)

Yes, does sound costly. Does the pump for the headlight washers run off of the same switch for the windscreen?

And would anyone on ff happen to have these parts off of a donor Panda?!?

My eper starts from 86 as should they all....

Unfortunately not for the Uno by the looks of it. The earliest model they cover is the Uno CS (whatever that is) from 1988 to 1989. All the other Unos on Eper are mk2 (1989 onwards) or the Brazilian Uno Duna.

And both dealers I tried today put in my chassis number (1989 mk1 70SX) and it came back as 'not found'. I had the same problem with my 1986 45S - chassis number not recognised.

What I would normally do is like as Jim says and order parts meant for a later model. Most of the suspension/ running gear/ nuts and bolts etc. didn't change between mk1 and 2 so the later parts would still fit. My problem today was that I wanted a part specific to a 1989 gearbox, and as Fiat fitted loads of different gearboxes I have to be specific. Again, we couldn't even find my model (1301cc engine, 70SX, 1989) on Eper let alone fine out which gearbox was fitted to it :(

Maybe some kind soul more experienced with Eper can look up it up and see if they can find my model in there? I'd be really grateful :)
