Hello there, im really new at this forum and im looking for an answer.
I wanna install a 18w led bar at my 2007 Siena, originaly it didnt came with the fog lights, but i wanna install the led bar usin the fog light switch. I dunno if somebody has did it, i think not, but i wanna see how can i use it, pls somebody explain me the wiring diagram using that switch.

i already know how to connect all of it, but i want to see how can i do this with the fog light button, thanks.

Been 2007 its a fair assumption the car will be CAN networked for the lights (Computer controlled)

best bet would be to fuse and relay the LED lights so they are separate from the cars Original loom

I agree there as well

I'd personally try to make sure they cant be left switched on for example
so i'd be tempted to use a relay thats also ignition controlled = no flat batteries

Ziggy

of course i will relay and fuse it, ill do the installation normally, just wanna know how to use that swich instead using another universal switch. thanks btw

Im guessing the car has soft touch buttons (sorry never seen a Siena)

if the grande punto is anything to go by

you cant as it links into the body computer of the car....

why not relay it via the main beam and have a small switch on the dash or tucked out the way to disable it if needed?

Years ago the way out would be to build a little latching (bistable) circuit to control it but now you can buy virtually any circuit off ebay for very very little money and it's reliable from the box without the faff.

I don't know about Venezuela but in the UK if you press a fog light button and anything other than a set of fog lights come on your car will fail the M.O.T

well i get it, i cant do it cuz is controled by the computer :(

but i cant bypass it?

so i think im gonna use a universal switch instead, i just dont wanna modify the dash or do something drastic, just wanted to kept it original.

what kind of switch u think that would look good sticking it on the dashboard?

lmao here u get car tickets when u make a u-turn or go trough a red light and only when some cop is around and pull over u. If dont u can do whatever u do haha, so some small led bars wont make any difference.

That's what I thought but anyone over here thinking...

"That's a good idea".

...now knows better. ;)

As far as switches go I'd look and see if there's a blank on your dash or console and try a Fiat switch from a scrap yard. That way if it is ever questioned you can point to the standard looking switch and say...

"It was like that when I bought it".
